Features & Benefits

See more with Biograph Vision™1. Improving accuracy, performance, and reproducibility.

Although, as a modality, PET/CT has helped to vastly improve the practice of healthcare, we at Siemens Healthineers are determined to do more than just continue the incremental momentum. We are inspired to make breakthrough improvements that will revolutionize PET/CT by going beyond digital to address our customers’ needs –focusing on clinical insights while driving sustainable outcomes.

Biograph Vision introduces the first detector with 3.2 mm LSO crystals2, helping you to visualize smaller lesions. 100% coverage3 of the silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) sensors leads to the fastest time-of-flight2,3 to improve contrast and signal-to-noise ratio.

With the market’s fastest time-of-flight at 214 ps2,3 and the highest effective sensitivity at 100 cps/ kBq2,3. Biograph Vision helps reduce scan time and injected dose by a factor of 3.94 to improve throughput and reduce patient exposure to radiation and tracer cost.

Biograph Vision provides consistent quantitative accuracy by automatically self-calibrating without the need for an external radioactive source. The blend of improved resolution and effective sensitivity4 enables you to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment earlier. Its fully automated solution for mulitparametric PET imaging provides additional information to enable absolute quantification, compared to SUV alone.

Technical Details

Transcend digital with the Optiso UDR detector

Optiso UDR’s proprietary 3.2 mm LSO crystals move silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) technology beyond digital to a new level of precision to help you detect small lesions, devise accurate treatment strategies and achieve optimal performance in a wide range of count rates.

What is UDR?

The new Optiso Ultra Dynamic Range (UDR) detector uses multiple technologies to provide optimal performance in a wide range of count rates. The fastest time-of-flight1 and high effective sensitivity provide excellent performance in low and medium activity ranges such a 90Y, 18F and 68Ga applications. A small block detector with low dead time makes it suitable to operate in the high-activity concentrations found in studies with very short-lived tracers, such as 82Rb and 15O.
